Outdoor (Spring): Scheduled in mid-April to mid-May for the most comfortable, reliable weather. I imagine this being at MJC East or West Campus, and or Graceada Park in Modesto. I see family friendly music played by a DJ (or a phone to reduce cost) at volume levels that allow people to talk without having to yell, and free food from multiple local food trucks (or booths like at the Downtown Farmers Market) sponsored preferably by local legacy clubs (Rotary, Lions) and local business. MJC already has booths, tables, and chairs on location to support such an event.
Indoor (Fall): Late October to early November, giving a nearly six-month gap while avoiding winter's rain and cold. Similar to the above event but hosted indoors at perhaps the MJC West campus Mary Stuart Rogers Student Learning Center, the Elks Lodge in Modesto, or the Masonic Center of Modesto. Same idea of a fun family friendly environment with upbeat music, and free food from local food vendors.
