This website was created to foster a stronger sense of community in Stanislaus County and the surrounding areas, and to help individuals connect with groups that align with their interests. It is not an official resource of Stanislaus County, nor is it affiliated with any business or nonprofit organization. The inspiration for this project came from the documentary Join or Die, which explores how the long-term decline in club and civic participation has had serious consequences for the health of democracy.

Help form a new local club or group.

If you didn't see a club or group that interests you, check out the Forming A New Club page for ideas of other groups you may want to participate in. If you already know what you would like to be a part of, you can email us at stancountyclubs@gmail.com, and we can do our best to notify you about any progress made to form the new group. Our goal is to help facilitate the creation of new clubs, eventually having a feature on the website that communicates when a critical mass of interested people have been met and to help with those who want to take leadership roles in a new group.
